Gone are the days when a group of NDP folks would get together and say, “Let’s put on a show.” Ok, we still get together and say those things, there’s just a lot more that goes into pulling it off. Advertising your company, restaurant, product or service in our programs, on our website and in our marketing materials is a great way to help us produce quality live theatre and not have to listen to our crazy conversations.
Our straight shows run for 2 weeks (which is 6 performances), and have an average total attendance of 432. Our musicals run for 3 weeks (which is 9 performances) and have an average total attendance of 585. We have three major demographics that we serve right now: Young professionals – 23%, Middle-aged business owners and professionals – 26% and our Senior Citizens and Retired professionals – 38%. Even though the numbers don’t add up to 100, we’ve never lost an audience member.
Almost all of our patrons eat, and many of our cast and crew do, too. It’s a perfect opportunity for local restaurants to hook up with us to offer show specials to our patrons when they present ticket stubs or a program. Of course, our patrons all need things like auto insurance, clothing, shoes, home furnishings, prescription medicine, accounting & payroll services, pet supplies and jewelry when they forget to tell their spouse about our last production. You get the idea.
